Mark Ryan - 2019 Dead Horse Cabernet Sauvignon
October 10, 2022

Big jammy dark fruit with oak, vanilla, leather. Slightly sweet, and very smooth. High alcohol and lower in tannins than expected. Long breathing time would have likely improved our experience, but this was consumed at a restaurant. I feel our rating is lower than average because of the inability to allow the wine to breath. I'm sure it would age well and therefore is probably an investment wine at $70+. It would be a weeknight wine at $40.
