Fielding Hills - 2015 Estate Merlot

I've never been a fan of Merlot. Perhaps the stereotype of it being plain and boring, and easy to produce put me off. Then we discovered this gem in Lake Chelan. Purple Cellar's Notes Cherry pie, strawberry jam, vanilla, oak, and tobacco on the nose. Massive explosion of juicy red fruit and licorice on the palate. Round and silky, full mouthfeel. Smooth tannins with a gentle finish. I wish I could find more!
