Descendant Cellars - 2015 Mourvedre

Descendant Cellars produces Rhone varietals, sourced from Eastern Washington, with minimal intervention, utilizing massive French Oak Barrels. I was impressed by their vintages and amazing price point, while delivering some impactful wines. This Mourvedre was particularly good.

Herbs and forest floor, and cherries on the nose. Bold cherries with round acidity and a weightless, smooth body with savory notes of mushroom and game. Integrated tannins for a nice long smooth finish. Excellent!
