Alexandria Nicole - 2019 Rock Star Red

59 % Syrah, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot. Heavy cigar, tobacco aromas, and hint of mint. Bold dark fruit, currants, and blackberry jam. A chewy wine with lots of spice of black and pink peppercorns, and heat. The finish transforms to brighter red fruit, pomegranate followed by lingering drying and leathery tannins. Needs to breathe and better the next day, and can stand to age. A surprisingly complex wine for the price point, a great party wine.
