Mullan Road Cellars is a second label of the Napa based Cakebread Cellars. They focus exclusively on Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the Royal Slope AVA. With a mindful price point, Mullan Road offers an approachable Cab that delivers at a value. I tasted in their new gorgeous Woodinville tasting room, where they offered both Cakebread and Mullan Road pours. The upcoming food offerings appear unique and show promise. I had the opportunity to do a side by side, and both the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2019 Winemaker Selection Cabernet Sauvignon were showing nicely. Read on for the tasting.
